Bond Return Conditions for 18th & 21st Birthdays
To ensure a safe, enjoyable celebration for everyone, and to allow for the return of your $500 security bond, we ask all event organisers to read and agree to the following conditions. These rules help us protect our staff, our venue, and your event.
As the event organiser, you are responsible for ensuring your guests follow all venue rules and NSW laws while on the premises.
1. No External Alcohol
• The Old Brewery is a fully licensed venue. No alcohol may be brought into the venue under any circumstances.
• This includes finishing “pre‑drinks” at the door or carrying alcohol in bags, pockets, or vehicles.
• Any guest found with external alcohol will be asked to leave immediately.
• If multiple guests are found with external alcohol, the event may be shut down and the bond may be retained to cover loss of business.
2. Minors & Alcohol
• Persons under 18 must not:• Purchase alcohol
• Attempt to purchase alcohol
• Consume alcohol inside the venue or venue grounds
• Arrive intoxicated or having consumed alcohol prior to entry
• As the event organiser, you are responsible for ensuring minors do not drink at any time.
• If minors are found drinking or intoxicated, the event may be shut down and the bond may be retained as compensation for loss of income.
3. Illicit Drugs
• The Old Brewery has zero tolerance for illicit drug use.
• Anyone suspected of possessing or using drugs will be asked to leave.
• If drug use is detected among multiple guests, the event may be shut down and the bond may be retained.
4. Behaviour & Safety
• All guests must behave respectfully toward staff, other patrons, and the venue.
• Aggressive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the venue.
• The organiser is responsible for managing guest behaviour and ensuring the event remains safe and controlled.
5. Damage to the Venue
• Any damage caused by guests during the event will be deducted from the bond.
• If damage exceeds the bond amount, the organiser may be invoiced for the remaining costs.
6. Compliance With Venue Policies & NSW Law
• All guests must follow:• The Old Brewery’s house policies
• Staff directions
• All relevant NSW liquor and safety laws
• Failure to comply may result in removal from the venue, early closure of the event, and loss of bond.
7. Bond Return
Your $500 deposit will be returned in full provided that:
• No external alcohol is brought onto the premises
• No minors consume or attempt to consume alcohol
• No illicit drugs are used or suspected
• No serious behavioural issues occur
• No damage is caused to the venue
• The event complies with all venue rules and NSW laws
